ERIK SOLHEIM

Erik Solheim is one of the most well-recognized climate thought leaders, globally.

 

Erik was Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) between May 2016 and November 2018, following an extensive career focusing on environment and development in government and international organizations. He is now an outspoken individual on different areas of climate.

Prior to the UN, Erik was the chair of the Development Assistance Committee of the OECD. From 2007 to 2012, he held the combined portfolio of Norway’s Minister of the Environment and International Development, and from 2005 to 2007 served as Minister of International Development. This unique portfolio mixture allowed him to bring a coherent approach to development and the environment. Erik has received a number of awards, including UN Environment’s Champions of the Earth, and TIME’s Hero of the Environment.

VIKRAM LIMAYE

Vikram Limaye is a well-known and highly reputed figure in India's financial ecosystem.

 

Vikram was most recently the Managing Director & CEO of the National Stock Exchange of India for five years, up to July 2022. Prior to NSE, he was the Managing Director & CEO of IDFC Limited, one of India’s largest financial services conglomerates.

 

Prior to returning to Mumbai in 2004, Vikram worked at Credit Suisse First Boston in the U.S. for 8 years. He has been on various government committees and boards of several corporates, educational institutions and not-for-profit organizations. He is a Chartered Accountant and completed his MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

SAM PARKER

Former Director, Shell Foundation
Former Advisory Board Member, IKEA

 

Sam Parker has been a passionate advocate for energy access and inclusion, primarily in emerging markets, for decades.

 

Sam was appointed in 2015 as the Director of Shell Foundation, a non-profit entity set up by Shell, to enhance access to sustainable energy and transport. Sam played an instrumental role at Shell Foundation, which now has 85+ portfolio companies in Africa and Asia. Sam was formerly an Advisor to IKEA, until December 2022.

 

Prior to Shell Foundation, Sam joined Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP) as its first CEO in 2006, focused on delivering water to urban slums. In 2014, Sam won a Skoll Foundation Award for Social Entrepreneurship.

 

Sam now runs FIGURE80, an advisory firm helping social enterprises improve governance, after recognizing the crucial importance of social entrepreneurs in achieving the SDGs. Sam is a graduate from Oxford University.

PAVAN SUKHDEV

Pavan is a world-renowned expert in the field of sustainability, and is a widely followed authority on the space. 

 

Pavan is the Founder & CEO of GIST Impact (Global Initiative for a Sustainable Tomorrow), a global climate data analytics company, with the mission to democratize sustainability through measurement of natural, social and human capital impact for large corporates. Pavan was awarded the Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement in 2020 (considered to be the equivalent of the Nobel Prize for the environment by some), the Blue Planet Prize in 2016, and the Gothenburg Award for Sustainable Development in 2013.

 

Pavan is also the current President of the World Wildlife Fund International, and is a goodwill Ambassador for UN Environment. He was previously the Head of UNEP's Green Economy Initiative. He authored TEEB's report for U.N.E.P., "The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity."

Rajiv is the Managing Director and Group CEO of VA Tech Wabag, a publicly-listed water technology company in India. VA Tech is one of the foremost water companies globally. Rajiv himself has been ranked the 3rd most influential water leader in the world in 2017 & 2018 by WWI (UK).

 

Rajiv has dedicated himself to the water industry over the last three decades, with a special focus on sustainability. He strongly advocates for sustainable use of water, leveraging alternative sources of water, and efficient waste water treatment, water recovery and reclamation. He is also vocal in promoting advanced technologies for water treatment solutions. 

SUBODH KUMAR

Subodh Kumar is an energy expert with strong technical knowledge and domain expertise. 

 

Subodh is the former Executive Director of Petrochemicals, Alternative Energy, and Sustainable Development at Indian Oil Corporation. He has 37 years of experience of petroleum products, alternative energy, nuclear power, battery storage and other related areas in energy. He conceived and launched the SATAT program with the Ministry of Petroleum to promote the use of Bio-CNG for transportation in India.

Subodh is a recognized expert in bio-fuels and green initiatives by the Ministry of Petroleum. He is qualified as a BTech (Electrical Engineering) from IIT-BHU and holds an MBA from MDI Gurugram.
