Samir is passionate about solving complex problems in large markets, particularly within the field of sustainability. He enjoys working closely with entrepreneurs to help build real value in companies. 

Samir began his career in venture capital after moving to India in 2014, through his private investment office - Sattva Capital. Sattva has invested in over 30 companies across stages and sectors in the past five years, with several exits. Some of his notable investments include, ION Energy, iNICU, Beardo and Drinkwell. The investment office has since become known to bring strong value-add and a wealth of knowledge to its portfolio companies. Samir is an expert in the fields of Energy and Water, and teaches a course on Sustainability at Ahmedabad University.

Samir has been involved in global public and private markets for the past twenty six years, at leading institutions including Goldman Sachs (Hong Kong), Deutsche Bank (New York) and Saloman Brothers (New York). He graduated with an MBA (with distinction) from Wharton, and holds a Law degree and Bachelor of Commerce degree from Bombay University. He is a certified Chartered Accountant. 


Aakash is passionate about building for the future. He spends time understanding emerging industries and new technologies, and thoroughly enjoys speaking to companies solving traditional problems in unique ways.

Aakash previously headed up the early-stage ventures arm of Sattva Capital, where he was responsible for sourcing, deal evaluation and ongoing monitoring of the portfolio, leading deals in Energy Web Foundation and Shortlist. Prior to Sattva, Aakash was jointly responsible for the Asia portfolio at Accion Venture Lab, a Washington D.C.-based fund focusing on financial inclusion, where he led deals in consumer credit and SME lending. He is also the co-founder of NeonVest, a mentorship platform that connects early-stage founders with luminaries in their field.  

Aakash previously spent three years as an Investment Research Analyst at Aksia, a New York-based hedge fund advisory firm with $150bn AUA, where he evaluated funds across long/short equity, credit and quant strategies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and International Business from NYU Stern, with a minor in Philosophy. 



Karan has an entrepreneurial mindset and loves digging deep into the environmental and social externalities of a particular solution. He is an ocean and agriculture enthusiast, and has found his passion in sustainability. 

Karan's journey into the field of sustainability started with responsAbility Investments AG, a $3.4Bn, Zurich-based asset manager providing debt and equity financing to non-listed firms in emerging markets. At responsAbility, he was an Investment Officer in the Sustainable Food & Agriculture investment practice for Asia Pacific. His responsibilities spanned across the entire deal lifecycle, and he led deals in India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Philippines, Sri Lanka and parts of the Middle East. Karan prides himself on this engagement with portfolio companies, being able to strike up relationships across the company and working closely with them to unlock value. He was also part of the stressed asset and deal restructuring team at responsAbility, heading the function in APAC.   

Prior to responsAbility, Karan worked with the Investment Banking team at Allegro Capital, as a Portfolio Manager for their listed equity fund. He managed the auto and FMCG sectors for the fund, and headed the research of other investment products sold to private banking clients. He holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Wales and has completed all three levels of the CFA program.



Aishwarya is a budding venture investor, that is excited to make a difference through investing. When she's off the clock, she likes to volunteer at beach cleaning drives and NGOs.

Aishwarya was previously on the investment team at, a domestic pre-seed fund that helps catalyze a whole set of newly venture-backable companies. She was primarily involved in sourcing, screening and further evaluating companies that were a fit for the portfolio, in addition to working closely with portfolio companies to accelerate their conversations for the next funding round.  

Prior to, Aishwarya was a Senior Analyst at KPMG, in Risk Consulting. She graduated with a Commerce degree from H.R. College, Mumbai. She has completed Level I and II of her CFA.
