G.N. BAJPAI I CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
G.N Bajpai is a distinguished leader in Indian business and an expert on financial markets. Previously Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), Mr. Bajpai is known for his visionary leadership and exemplary integrity.
Mr. Bajpai chairs the Advisory Board at Peak Ventures. Mr. Bajpai has served on several corporate boards in India, including General Insurance Corporation of India, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank (previously under UTI Bank), Tata Chemicals, Jindal Steel and other leading corporations. He has also been a Non-Executive Chairman of the National Stock Exchange and Stock Holding Corporation of India.
Mr. Bajpai has addressed the IMF and OECD forums in the past, and is regularly invited to speak at leading institutions in India and abroad, including London School of Economics and Harvard University. Among other accolades, Mr. Bajpai received the "Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Finance" award from the Prime Minister of India. He holds a Masters degree in Commerce from the University of Agra, and a Law degree from University of Indore.
PRADIP SHAH I BOARD ADVISOR
Mr. Pradip Shah is a Board Advisor at Peak, and actively contributes to the firm. As the founder of CRISIL, India's first and largest credit ratings agency, Pradip brings in deep expertise and strong sense of governance to the firm.
Pradip is a well-known figure in India, most notably for his roles in founding CRISIL and assisting in the founding of HDFC Bank. He currently runs IndAsia, a corporate finance and private equity advisory business. Prior to IndAsia, Pradip helped establish the Indocean Fund, in association with affiliates of Soros Fund Management and Chase Capital Partners. He is currently serving as a Director of BASF (India), Godrej & Boyce and Pfizer, Tata Investment Corp, amongst other leading businesses.
Pradip was previously a Director on the Western Region Board of the Reserve Bank of India, the first Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry's (CII) Financial Sector Committee, and has served as a member of the Finance Commission of the State Government of Gujarat, SEBI committee on Venture Capital, and SIDBI Working Group on Access to Capital Markets for Small Industries, amongst many other roles. Pradip holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant.
